Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Noah (the “App”) and this website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

Noah offers:

  • Bible reading in multiple translations, with recorded and synthesized narration
  • Screen Time features that pause apps you choose until you’ve read
  • Reading plans, streaks, and progress tracking
  • Notes, highlights, bookmarks, and a journal
  • An AI study assistant, and AI-generated images, video, and songs based on Scripture
  • Kid mode for family use

Features vary by plan and may change over time.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in secure
  • Take responsibility for activity under your account
  • Be at least 13 years old, or use the Service with a parent’s or guardian’s permission and supervision

3. Plans, payments, and credits

Plans

Noah offers a Free plan for Bible reading and paid Read and Create subscriptions with additional features. Current features and prices are shown in the App before you buy.

Billing and renewal

  • Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID or, where offered, another payment processor named at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • We may change prices with advance notice, as required by the App Store.

Cancellation and refunds

  • Cancel anytime in your device’s Settings under your Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
  • Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies.

Credits

  • AI generation and some AI usage consume credits. Credits come with certain plans, as weekly grants, or as separate in-app purchases.
  • Credits have no cash value and can’t be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for money, except where required by law.
  • Subscription credit grants accumulate up to a cap. Grants stop when your subscription ends.
  • If a refund is granted for a subscription period, credits received during that period are deducted from your balance. Your balance may become negative if you already used them, which pauses generation until you obtain more credits. New credits first offset any negative balance.

Consent to share consumption data with Apple

By making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing information about your use of purchased content with Apple to help resolve refund requests. This may include how you’ve accessed and used purchased content, your account tenure, and purchase history. We share this only as necessary and in line with Apple’s policies.

4. Screen Time features

Noah’s app-pausing features rely on Apple’s Screen Time framework, and their behavior depends on iOS. They are tools to help you build a habit, not a guaranteed parental control or security product. You can change or remove restrictions at any time, and Apple may change how Screen Time works. Earned time has no monetary value.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create in Noah, including notes, journal entries, prompts, and AI-generated media (to the extent you have rights in it). You give us a limited license to store, process, and display your content only to provide the Service to you.

You may use your AI-generated creations for personal, ministry, and non-commercial purposes, and share them on social media. Please don’t present them as human-made where that would mislead. Contact us before using creations commercially.

Files you share with others, such as .noah-media archives, are shared directly by you, and you’re responsible for having the right to share them.

6. AI features

  • AI responses and media are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Check answers against Scripture.
  • The assistant is a study tool. It does not provide pastoral, theological, medical, legal, or mental-health advice.
  • Content filters apply to AI features and may block some requests.
  • Similar prompts can produce similar results for other users. We don’t guarantee that generated output is unique.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal
  • Generate or share sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content
  • Try to bypass content filters, credit metering, or other safeguards
  • Impersonate others or infringe anyone’s rights
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service, or access it by automated means
  • Share your account or resell access

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, artwork, software, and the Noah name, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Bible translations are in the public domain or used under license. Imported EPUBs remain the property of their rights holders, and you’re responsible for having the right to import them.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, such as Apple, Google, AI providers, and audio Bible providers. Their services are governed by their own terms. We aren’t responsible for third-party services, and some features may change or stop if a provider changes its service.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI output will be accurate or appropriate, or that the Service will meet your requirements.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service won’t exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Termination

  • You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings in the App.
  • We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
  • When access ends, your right to use the Service stops. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

14. Apple terms

If you downloaded Noah from the App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn’t responsible for handling claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the App must also comply with the App Store’s Usage Rules.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, let you know in the App. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
